AI consulting in sales
AI in sales: consulting for companies and sales organisations.
Artificial intelligence does not change sales only once companies introduce AI tools for their salespeople. It is already changing sales on the customer side. Customers research differently, compare offers differently, prepare conversations differently and increasingly make decisions with the support of AI. For sales organisations this creates a new challenge: it is not only their own processes that change. The other side of the table changes too.
As a C-level sales interventionist, AI consultant and sales expert, I work precisely at this interface: what does AI change in buying behaviour, what does that mean for sales organisations, and what concrete consequences follow for sales steering, CRM, leadership, processes and the work of salespeople?
Customer side
When customers use AI, sales changes
01
Customers use AI for research.
02
Customers have products and providers compared.
03
Customers can structure requirements with AI.
04
Customers can have proposals analysed.
05
Customers can prepare objections and negotiating positions.
06
The information asymmetry between provider and customer is shifting.
07
Sales organisations need to understand what is happening on the customer side.
Perspective
AI in sales is more than automation
In many companies, AI in sales is reduced to productivity. These are real and useful effects:
- Writing text
- Automating emails
- Generating call summaries
- Enriching CRM data
- Making sales staff more productive
These applications change how salespeople work, but not the logic of buying. The decisive additional perspective lies elsewhere.

Approach
Consulting from sales practice, not AI theory
My perspective on AI comes from sales. I have worked more than 35 years in sales and leadership — from direct customer contact to top management. Along the way I have experienced sales organisations, CRM systems, international teams and complex change processes from operational responsibility.
Today I connect this experience with the question of how artificial intelligence is changing buying behaviour, sales processes and sales organisations. This is not about introducing as many AI tools as possible. What matters is where AI actually influences customers, salespeople, processes and results.
